Here are some helpful websites to look at when trying to find a new pet guinea pig or use if you are trying to place one into a new home.

http://www.petfinder.org - Petfinder. Search private listings as well as shelter and rescue listings. Also offer free classified section for finding a pet a new home.

http://www.cavyrescue.com - Cavy Rescue. Search rescue and private listings. Also offer classified section for placing an ad for a guinea pig who needs a new home.

http://www.gpan.net - Guinea Pig Adoption Network. Search private listings for a new guinea pig or post a listing for a guinea pig that needs to find a new home.

http://www.craigslist.org/about/cities.html - Craigslist offers free classified postings; check the pets section for guinea pigs seeking homes. Beware of breeders listings - don't support the cycle!

CONNECTICUT
http://www.ctguineapigrescue.org - The Critter Connection Inc., located in Durham, CT offers guinea pigs for adoption and accepts owner surrenders when not full (shelters have priority). We also hold adoption and care seminars, attend libraries and schools to promote good care for guinea pigs, and maintain a sanctuary for unadoptable guinea pigs.

NEW JERSEY
http://www.haveaheart.petfinder.org - Have a Heart is dedicated to helping the homeless guinea pigs in the NJ, NY, PA and DE areas. We are a no kill rescue and all of our animals are housed in private loving foster homes. Our rescue was founded in 2001.

NEW YORK

NORTH CAROLINA
