ok, I have finished 2 cage liners and 1 house so far. I plan on making at least 2 more. I plan on making some cuddle sacks and Tunnels. and a Piggy Forest for each of them. They are flannel lined on the bottom with Fleece.
Here are the pics. :)
Im not completely Happy with the house. The doorway is too big and the piping I need to do differently next time. But its not too bad for a first time using it.

Thank you!
I just picked up another lettuce Bowl for Shadow, they had a carrot one but I thought it was a bit deep for them right now. There was a small raddish bowl too. Might have to pick those ones up later for treats and veggies. :) |

Some are but not all. Not going to get into that argument. I was asked where I got my bowls that's where I got them.
Hubby and I finished the ramps to their second level kitchen today. :-) Now to get them using them. getting to more sewing this weekend to make some more accessories and make some cage liners for the other critters. :) |

Thank you!
I actually ended up here through your Canadian Comforts FB page. :-D
My hubby bought me a Viking topaz 20 embroidery/sewing machine!! Once I have figured it all out I will be looking for Guinea pig designs to play with.
I did a Peanuts fleece liner on it and It sews beautifully. (Although I am not a fan of working with the fleece) |

I wasn't starting an argument, but merely stating a fact. It's not an opinion. Stores that sell animals are evil. Period. The only ones that aren't are the ones that don't sell any living creatures and don't profit from exploitation or breeding.
If you didn't want to get into an argument, you shouldn't have defended any stores that sell animals. Or, you should have made it clear that you were only defending the ones that don't sell animals, which is totally fine, as none of us have a problem with stores that sell only supplies. We have to get the stuff we need from somewhere.
While you're free to express your opinions, any attempt at defending stores that sell animals on this forum will be met with hostility from myself and others. This is a pro-rescue, anti-breeding, anti-exploitation, anti-animals-for-profit community. It is intolerable that animals are ever treated as inanimate commodities or resources, and that's exactly how they're treated in every single store that sells them. |

See and I love working with it. I'd rather work with fleece and flannel than regular cotton. |

| I find that the stretching is hard to work with. if it is a jacket or sweater it isn't too bad but when you are working with large pieces it easily becomes un aligned at the seams. it is what happened with the Peanuts one I did, and ended up not fitting as tight as the Flannel and fleece ones I made. it's been a few years since I have worked with fleece and I find it isn't the same. Here the good stuff that is nice and thick is expensive. |

I made fleece cuddle pockets and sewed them by hand, that wasn't so bad. Other than my fingers becoming pin cushions... LOL I don't have a sewing machine, so anything like that I do is all by hand. Which is why we don't have many cuddle pockets! LOL
I give you guys credit on any sewing ya do, it isn't all that easy! :) |

I find the anti-pill fleece doesn't stretch as bad. IMO.
I buy my fleece from yourfleece.com, they have really good stuff. |

Bride of Chad that is a lot of work to handstitch. I barely have the patience to sit and do my cross stitch kits these days.
I know what you mean about pin cushion hands! I'm always sticking myself.
Ill have to try the anti pill, the peanuts fleece I got was Igloo. Polar fleece is nice to work with because it is thicker but they don't have much of it anymore its all the thinner stuff like Igloo fleece, but they have such fun prints on them.
Ill have to check out the website! thank you.
I found a fabric warehouse not far from me and it looks like their fleece is half the cost of fabricland so I might go check them out today. (Not that I don't have a huge bin full of fabric! lol ) |

Thank you!
I just drew out what I wanted on grid paper. that's about it for a pattern. as for the Embroidery I bought a few patterns and got a few for free. but it takes a bit of work to get lined up because I don't have the extra software yet that lets me map out the whole design.
My Hubby bought me the machine a few weeks ago and This is how I have been learning how to use it. :) |
