Thought I'd take a minute to say hi! I'm a reformed breeder. LOL! Back in the late 70s through the mid 80s I bred and showed cavies. Recently I was offered an 8 month old male. One of those just take him situations. I did and began searching on line for info. Things have changed a lot since I last owned one. Shortly after that another appeared, under slightly different circumstances. This was please take her before I have to give her to the local shelter. So now I have an 8 month old American Dilute Agouti Male, and a 7 month old Brown and White Abyssinian Female. They are housed separatly and will NEVER breed! They are currently in large pet store cages. I've searched everywhere locally for supplies to build a couple C&C cages. It looks like I will be ordering them online. I'm feeding 8 oz a day Oxbow pellets and free choice timothy hay. They get fresh vegetables twice a day. I have learned a lot already, and look forward to learning even more.

Hey, Crusty! Welcome! There is a LOT to learn when you have a "change of mind" isn't there?

Boy, you're right, I'm not seeing a lot of coroplast options in Wooster. Keep an eye out, though, it pops up in odd places.

Last summer, several gas stations around town here ran a Coke promotion with three foot square coroplast signs. I'm sure if I'd asked, I could have had the signs free at the end of the promotion.

I see a lot of political signs right now that are coroplast. Tempting to try to get a couple of them. LOL!

Welcome Crusty! :) I look forward to getting to know you! May we see some pics of your piggie babies?

You may want to cut back a bit on the pellets, 2 oz total ( 1 oz. per piggie) should be plenty for your two piggies. I LOVE the free choice hay option though! :)

Grab some carrot chips and enjoy The Pigloo!

I wrote the wrong amount of pellets down. I feed 1/8th cup a day. That's dry measure. I'm not sure how many ounces that is. I'm planning to take some pics soon.
